Age-appropriate grappling five days a week, balanced between fun and real skill development.
Best for: Parents who want their child to build confidence, coordination and self-control.
Alive is a No-Gi first academy. That means most weeks you'll train in shorts and a rash guard, working the grips and positions that carry over to wrestling, self-defence and MMA. We also run Gi classes and wrestling for the people who want the full grappling picture.
If it's your first time: Your first class is drilling and positional work. Nobody is going to try to take your head off. You choose the intensity you roll at, and coaches pair beginners deliberately.

We run a women's-only no-gi class alongside the mixed classes. Train in either, or both.
If a mixed room feels like a big first step, this is a good place to start. The free week covers it like any other class.

No. You'll get fit by training. Set your own pace in your first weeks. Sitting a round out is normal and nobody will comment.
Not at first, and never at an intensity you haven't agreed to. Live training is how the skill develops, but you build up to it.
You almost certainly won't be. The room runs from teenagers to people in their fifties, and the coaching approach is built around your individual attributes rather than one 'correct' way to move.
Yes. A women's-only no-gi class runs alongside the mixed classes. Plenty of women train in both; start wherever you're more comfortable.
