Adult Jiu Jitsu
No-Gi and Gi jiu jitsu for adults of every level. We specialise in No-Gi, and beginners start on day one.
Best for: Adults who want to learn grappling, get in shape, and train with a resisting partner.
Our kids programme runs five days a week for ages four and up. Classes are built around live, playful problem-solving rather than long stretches of standing in line, which is why kids stay engaged and actually retain what they learn.
If it's your first time: First-timers are paired carefully by size and temperament. Coaches keep the group small enough to see every child.
Coach-led at all times, with pairings set by the coach rather than by the kids.
No striking in the kids programme. Submissions are taught with control and are age-gated. The youngest groups work on position, escapes and movement.
Clear expectations, short instruction blocks, and a lot of live reps. Kids thrive in this format.
Parents are welcome to watch. There's seating alongside the mat.
Kids who train tend to carry themselves differently. We teach them to stay calm under pressure and to de-escalate. We don't promise it solves bullying, and we won't pretend otherwise.
No classes match those filters.
Four. The youngest groups focus on movement, balance and simple positions.
There's no striking in the kids programme, pairings are set by size and the coach is on the mat throughout. Jiu jitsu is one of the lower-impact martial arts for children precisely because there are no strikes to the head.
Sometimes. If they can stay focused, follow instructions with minimal supervision, and there's a partner of similar age and size, we'll talk about it.
Yes. Most parents do, at least at first.

Best for: Grapplers who keep ending up on the bottom and want to control where the fight happens.
Where the striking and grappling programmes meet: takedowns off strikes, cage work and ground and pound.
Best for: Trained students who want to put striking and grappling together.
